PCA Initiative

The Plant Cell Atlas (PCA) will be a community resource that comprehensively describes the state of various plant cell types and integrates high-resolution location information of nucleic acids, proteins, and metabolites within plant cells.

Our published perspective, "Towards Building a Plant Cell Atlas", provides a vision for the PCA Initiative. We also held a Kick-off Workshop last year to discuss how to best build this community resource.

Our call for papers for a Plant Cell Atlas Focus Issue is closed. Selected papers will appear in Plant Physiology in December 2021.

This initiative is funded by grants from the National Science Foundation (Grant #'s 1916797 &
2052590), Carnegie Institution for Science's President Fund, and BASF.
