PCA Initiative
The Plant Cell Atlas (PCA) will be a community resource that comprehensively describes the state of various plant cell types and integrates high-resolution location information of nucleic acids, proteins, and metabolites within plant cells. Our published perspective, "Towards Building a Plant Cell Atlas", provides a vision for the PCA Initiative. We also held a Kick-off Workshop last year to discuss how to best build this community resource. Our call for papers for a Plant Cell Atlas Focus Issue is closed. Selected papers will appear in Plant Physiology in December 2021. This initiative is funded by grants from the National Science Foundation (Grant #'s 1916797 & 2052590), Carnegie Institution for Science's President Fund, and BASF. |

Breaking News21 June 2021 Registration is open for our first PCA Training and Networking event! We will be hosting a Career Panel workshop in July with three academic researchers. 9 June 2021 The PCA was awarded an NSF Research Coordination Network grant (Grant # 2052590) to build and support a Plant Cell Atlas community! 1 June 2021 CFP for Special Issue on "Cellular Heterogeneity in Plants" in Frontiers in Plant Science is now open! Registration for ICAR 2021 is necessary to attend. 26 May 2021 The Plant Cell Dynamics IX meeting is being held virtually from June 1st to 3rd! The submission deadline for the PCA Focus Issue in Plant Physiology has been extended to June 1, 2021. 23 Feb 2021 We held a fantastic workshop on Single Cell Sequencing technologies!
