Applications are open for the first-ever PCA SynBio Hackathon! Selected applicants are required to attend the PCA Symposium and Hackathon in-person from August 14-15, 2024.

PCA Annual Travel Award Applications Open

PCA is proud to offer travel support for up to two Black, Latine, and/or Indigenous scientists to attend one in-person conference per year. Award recipients will receive funding to attend the 2024 PCA Symposium. Learn more here.

Remembering Philip Benfey

Philip N. Benfey, an accomplished plant developmental biologist and mentor extraordinaire, passed away on September 26th, 2023. Philip’s creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiasm for collaboration, and dedication to his mentees has left an indelible mark on the plant science community. Philip is survived by his wife, Elisabeth, and two sons, Sam and Julian. Read about Philip’s impact on PCA and its members here.

PCA Art Up at Oregon State University
Art from the PCA and Science Exhibit went on display in The Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Oregon State University. The exhibit showcases 8 larger-than-life works by Maxwell Eckelbarger. Displayed on the first and second floors of Cordley Hall, the exhibition is made up of two collections on loan from the Plant Cell Atlas.
