Philip N. Benfey, an accomplished plant developmental biologist and mentor extraordinaire, passed away on September 26th, 2023. Philip’s creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiasm for collaboration, and dedication to his mentees has left an indelible mark on the plant science community.
