PCA Initiative
The Plant Cell Atlas (PCA) will be a community resource that comprehensively describes the state of various plant cell types and integrates high-resolution location information of nucleic acids, proteins, and metabolites within plant cells.
Our published perspective, "Towards Building a Plant Cell Atlas", provides a vision for the PCA Initiative. We also held a Kick-off Workshop in Spring/Summer 2020 and a Symposium in Dec 2021 to discuss how to best build this community resource and to highlight research that will be needed to build a Plant Cell Atlas. This initiative is funded by grants from the National Science Foundation (Grant #'s 1916797 & 2052590), Carnegie Institution for Science's President Fund, and BASF. |
